FIRST RESPONDER PROJECT
The first responder project is a medical grant co-project we are working on dealing with how to respond in a subway crash situation. My portion of the project is dealing with the facial rigging & body rigging of some of the initial characters we have. We are testing their phonemes & pain poses they may come across on the injured characters.
GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT - 2017-2018
The Dementia Project involves a VR simulated experience where you as a participant get to role-play a character who is struggling living with dementia. This explores the struggle uninformed caretakers may have in empathizing with their patient or family member, and the struggle of victims with dementia continuing their day-to-day lives with this illness.
VIOLA & VIOLIN DATA
This project involves the analysis of multiple viola or violin players playing with each other, and seeing how well they performed when we changed their environment around them. Currently, I am cleaning up data of 8 sessions, 26 takes each session, where I am focusing mainly on the cleanliness of the wrists and hand capture given that is where most of the flipping occurs.
MICHELLE ELLSWORTH DATA
This project is a study of improvisational dance by professor Michelle Ellsworth from CU Boulder. She came during a residency she has with OSU to get some data and moves to analyze/interpret for both herself and her students.
Seeding Sullivant is an upcoming project giving more insight into the building of ACCAD - Sullivant Hall. This project will incorporate facial capture being recorded and placed on low poly models of three major contributors to the building's history - Helen Alkire, Joseph Sullivant, and Bruce Wilder Saville. They will be narrating small portions of their contributions and history of the building. Updates will be posted as they come.
DREAMA FACIAL REMAPPING
For this project, I worked with mfa candidate, dreama cleaver on her thesis project, "breaking the fourth wall" to incorporate both motion capture and facial capture into animation and projection mapping. My work on this consists of plotting, remapping, and cleaning up data for her characters to be polished and interpreted well.
So far, as I wait for the models to be finished, I remapped the captured data onto the Victor facial rig (provided by Faceware) to test the accuracy from one mesh to another. Moving forward, I will start cleaning it up to get out the glitches, but for now here is the progress.
