This project consisted of our motion capture class each taking on getting data from a prop of our choice. Although the focus was on the prop, I still wanted to have access to human data if I wanted to play with it afterwards. With the prop I was able to adjust it in relation to hand placement depending on the data, and adding particle effects to give a 'fire' feel.
MICHELLE ELLSWORTH RESIDENCY DATA
This project is a study of improvisational dance by professor Michelle Ellsworth from CU-Boulder. She came during a residency she has with OSU to get some data and moves to analyze and interpret for both herself and her students.
Group project to create an instrumental music video with animation on the beats; 2 week timeline.
This project demonstrates the collaboration of motion capture and particle effects on experimental dancing data
Responsible for motion capture.
"HERE" PROJECT BREAKDOWN
A breakdown of the motion capture dance scene and captured data used in the previous video's project.
EXULANSIS PROJECT FINAL
Exulansis is a visual representation providing insight into the experience and symptoms of anxiety and borderline personality disorders. For those with these experiences, it can be difficult to translate the abstract and nuanced feelings into something relatable to others.
EXULANSIS PROJECT PROGRESS
This character was rigged with the motion capture script I developed - this shows how well it can be on any character and how well the data turns out with it.
